Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the website at boatlife.club, the BoatLife membership application process, and BoatLife membership billing (together, the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About BoatLife

BoatLife, LLC is an exclusive boating club for boat owners ("boaters") and invited guests. The club operates in the cities and countries where it has launched. BoatLife, LLC is not a charter, rental, water-taxi, or for-hire transportation service. Guests never pay a fare for a ride, and boaters host privately and recreationally. Membership is by application and subject to acceptance, membership review, community standards, and applicable insurance requirements.

Applications and membership

Submitting an application does not create a membership or any obligation on our part to accept you. We may accept, decline, or revoke membership at our discretion, consistent with applicable law. Information you submit must be accurate and your own to share.

Membership, billing, and renewal

Boater membership tiers, eligibility (including boat length), and current rates are published at boatlife.club/boaters. All rates are quoted and billed in United States dollars (USD) unless we state otherwise in writing; standard membership rates may vary by city. Guests never pay membership dues or fares. The following applies to paid boater memberships once accepted:

• Boat partner memberships. Boat partners pay either a two-season rate of $5,000 USD or a per-season rate of $3,000 USD, as stated in their membership confirmation. Boat partner rates are personal to the member and are not transferable.
• Standard memberships. Standard membership is an annual (12-month) membership billed in monthly installments. Unless you cancel, your membership automatically renews for successive 12-month terms at the then-current rate, and monthly billing continues.
• Renewal notice and price changes. We will email you a reminder before each annual renewal. Any change to your renewal rate will be communicated at least 30 days before the renewal takes effect.
• Seasonal Flex. Where offered, Flex membership is month-to-month, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period.
• How to cancel. Cancelling is as easy as joining: email info@boatlife.club from your membership email (or use any cancellation option we offer in the app), and we will confirm within a few business days. Standard memberships cancel effective at the end of the current 12-month term; Flex memberships cancel effective at the end of the current monthly period.
• Refunds. If BoatLife ends your membership for a reason other than your breach of these Terms or community standards, we will refund the unused prepaid portion of your dues on a pro-rata basis. If your membership is ended for breach, dues are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
• Payment processing. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors; your use of their services is subject to their terms.

Acceptable use

• Use the Site only for lawful purposes and as intended.
• Do not submit false information or impersonate anyone.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Site.

Intellectual property

The BoatLife name, logo, content, and design are owned by BoatLife, LLC and may not be used without our written permission.

No warranties; limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BoatLife, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you use the Site from outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you locally, and you remain entitled to any consumer protections that cannot be limited under the law of your country of residence.
